Sales Representative

I graduated from Monash University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. During my studies I worked a lot within small business and business management and had really enjoyed it. I knew that I wanted to work in the medical field but I also enjoyed the challenges, the people and the analytical side of running a business.

It was not until my last year at Monash during careers lectures in pharmacology that I learned of the role of a pharmaceutical sales representative. After looking further into the role, I decided that encompassed all I was after - medical science, working with people, and business. I started working for Servier in January 2008 and have now been working for more than 5 years for Servier.

One of the things that I noticed immediately with Servier was the investment and interest in my own personal development, career progression and reward for loyalty and hard work. The career progression structure within Servier allows promotion and growth within the sales team and a strong network for setting and achieving career goals.

I started out initially as a Medical Representative in Victoria, after 1 year I gained the role of a Senior Medical Representative and have now been promoted to Executive representative. Additionally, throughout this time I have spent 6 months working as a Specialist Medical Representative in the Cardiovascular Division and most recently I have relocated to Perth and transferred to the WA sales team. I am now moving into a new role in the CNS division, which will provide many new challenges ahead.

In addition to the career aspects of working for Servier, one of the main reasons I love working for Servier is the people. The diverse range of people that work within Servier from so many different professions and with so much collective life experience, provides a workplace full of interesting, worldly, caring and outgoing people. Servier strives to develop and look after their employees and it is definitely felt and much appreciated.

I love being a part of the Servier Family and I feel lucky to be a part of it.
